Transitions to the slide:-
Transitions are visual effects that occur when you move from one slide to the next in your presentation. They can add a dynamic and professional touch to your slides.
How to Add a Transition:
- Select a Slide: Click on the slide you want to apply the transition to.
- Go to the Transitions Tab: Click on the “Transitions” tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Choose a Transition: Click on the desired transition effect from the gallery.
- Preview the Transition: Click the “Preview” button to see how the transition will look.
- Customize the Transition:
- Effect Options: Click the “Effect Options” button to customize the direction and speed of the transition.
- Sound: Add a sound effect to your transition.
- Duration: Adjust the duration of the transition.

Slide transitions add a visual flair to your presentation, making it more engaging for your audience. Here’s how to add them:
- Select a Slide:
- Click on the slide you want to apply a transition to.
- Go to the Transitions Tab:
- Click on the “Transitions” tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Choose a Transition:
- Click on the desired transition effect from the gallery. You can preview the transition by clicking on it.
- Customize the Transition (Optional):
- Effect Options: Click the “Effect Options” button to customize the direction and nature of the transition.
- Sound: Add a sound effect to your transition.
- Duration: Adjust the duration of the transition.
- Apply to All Slides (Optional):
- If you want to apply the same transition to all slides, click the “Apply to All” button on the “Transitions” tab.
Removing Transitions
To remove a transition from a slide in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- Select the Slide: Click on the slide that you want to remove the transition from.
- Go to the Transitions Tab: Click on the “Transitions” tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Select “None”: In the Transitions gallery, click on the “None” option.
This will remove the current transition from the selected slide. If you want to remove transitions from multiple slides, you can select multiple slides and then click “None” on the Transitions tab.

Animation Group
Animation groups in PowerPoint allow you to coordinate the timing and effects of multiple animations on a single slide. This helps you create more complex and visually engaging presentations.
How to Group Animations:
- Select the Objects: Select the objects you want to group together.
- Group the Objects: Go to the Format tab and click Group > Group.
- Apply the Animation:
- Select the group of objects.
- Go to the Animations tab and choose an animation effect.
Timing Group
The Timing group in PowerPoint allows you to control the timing and sequencing of animations and slide transitions. This feature is essential for creating polished and professional presentations.
Key Elements of the Timing Group:
- Duration: Sets the length of time for an animation or transition to occur.
- Start: Determines when an animation or transition should begin:
- On Click: The animation or transition starts when you click the mouse.
- With Previous: The animation or transition starts simultaneously with the previous one.
- After Previous: The animation or transition starts after the previous one finishes.
- Delay: Specifies a delay before an animation or transition starts.
- Trigger: Sets a specific condition for an animation to start, such as clicking on an object or reaching a certain point in the presentation.
Slide Show Tab
Starting a Slide Show
Here are the primary methods to start a slide show in PowerPoint:
- From the Slide Show Tab:
- Go to the Slide Show Tab: Click on the “Slide Show” tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Click “From Beginning”: This will start the slideshow from the first slide.
- Click “From Current Slide”: This will start the slideshow from the currently selected slide.
- Using the F5 Key:
- Press F5: This will start the slideshow from the beginning.
- Using the Slide Show View:
- Switch to Slide Show View: Click on the “Slide Show” button in the lower-right corner of the PowerPoint window.
- Use Arrow Keys or Mouse Clicks: Navigate through the slides using the arrow keys or by clicking the mouse.
Hide slide :-
To hide a slide in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- Select the Slide: Click on the thumbnail of the slide you want to hide in the left-hand pane.
- Right-Click: Right-click on the selected slide.
- Choose “Hide Slide”: Select this option from the context menu.
Unhiding a Slide:
- Right-Click on the Hidden Slide: Right-click on the hidden slide (indicated by a slash through the slide number).
- Choose “Unhide Slide”: This will make the slide visible again.
It is used to hide the specified slide at the time of view show.
But it can’t deleting the slide.
There is a posibility to unhide the slide also.

Rehearsing Your Slide Show Timing in PowerPoint
Rehearsing your slide show in PowerPoint allows you to practice your presentation and fine-tune the timing of your slides. This helps you deliver a smooth and well-paced presentation.
Here’s how to rehearse your slide show:
- Go to the Slide Show Tab: Click on the “Slide Show” tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Click “Rehearse Timings”: This will start a full-screen rehearsal mode.
- Present Your Slides: Click through your slides as you would in a real presentation. PowerPoint will record the time spent on each slide.
- Review and Adjust Timings: After completing the rehearsal, PowerPoint will display a summary of your timings. You can review and adjust the timings for individual slides as needed.
- Save Rehearsal Timings: Click “OK” to save the rehearsed timings.
