INTRODUCTION TO MS-EXCEL  

Microsoft Excel is powerful spreadsheet software that is widely used for data analysis, financial modeling, and various other tasks. It provides a structured grid of cells where you can input and manipulate data.

Basic Components of Excel

  1. Workbook: A collection of worksheets.
  2. Worksheet: A single sheet within a workbook, consisting of rows and columns.
  3. Cell: The intersection of a row and a column.
  4. Formula Bar: Used to enter formulas and functions.
  5. Ribbon: Contains various tabs with commands for formatting, data analysis, and more.
  6. Status Bar: Displays information about the document, such as page number, zoom level, and word count.

⮚ In excel to perform calculations we can use only cell address, and calculations must begin with equal to  (=) symbol.
